This year, the 10th is more than just a regular Saturday in June for the Forman Family. It is a day to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Robert Clayton Forman. MaxxSouth has teamed up with Clayton’s family to sponsor the first annual Robert Clayton Festival held on Saturday, June 10th in New Albany, MS!

Clayton was born in June of 2016. He suffered from a birth defect known as Congenital Diaphramatic Hernia. Babies with this birth defect are born with a hole in the diaphragm muscle allowing the contents of the abdomen to move into the chest. Although Clayton lived only for a short time, he left a huge impact on the community.

As a way to continue his legacy, the festival is going to be a birthday celebration in honor of Clayton! Beginning at 8:00AM, a 5K Color Run will be held at the Trailhead Plaza in New Albany. To make sure you receive a T-shirt, sign up here by May 27th.

Come on down to the New Albany Courthouse at 10:00AM where there will be an assortment of kids activities, vendors, and entertainment for everyone! Don’t miss out on the delicious food that Local Mobile, Taste of Chicago, and Pop’s BBQ Grill & Catering have to offer.

End the night at the amphitheater while enjoying amazing music, more food, and even a photo van! Spencer Day will be opening the musical acts at 6:30PM followed by “Can’t Get Away from a Good Time” singer, Logan Mize, at 7:30PM.

“We are excited for the festival to be taking place this year! We hope that it continues to grow larger in the upcoming years in memory of Robert Clayton. Thank you to everyone who has helped bring this event together!” said Hanna Basil, Director of Sponsorship.

All proceeds raised by the festival will be donated to Helping Hands of Union County. This organization supports children in need in the area of Union County by hosting numerous fundraising events throughout the year.
